I'm Tommie and I'm from NW PA. I've had about 50 bikes.. all Oriental and now own a '78 XS650. It's all stock w/16,000 miles but I added el cheapo saddle bags (a la Ebay) and an old windshield I had laying around. ooh yeah and an 18 tooth countershaft sprocket for much easier cruising!! It is perhaps the most overall grin inspiring ride I ever owned, with numerous RD350s , CB750s , Suzuki GS models and 40 or so "others"a close second thru 50!! All the bikes I've had had a distinct personality, but The XS with its vibrating rumble and no torque curve engine make for a good time every time I ride it! I'm now into carpentry, driving an Amish crew, but I wasa Professional Flat-rate Technician with Ford/GM/Subaru for 20 years and had a home-satelite dealership too..whew I'm tired!!

Hi Tommie: We are very happy to have you on the board. I'd be tired too with the wide variety of careers on the go like that! We anxiously look forward to hearing about the different bikes and travels you have experienced. I agree, the XS is a great do all machine. Talk to you soon. G Man
