All you needed to do for the link was put the url in between the url tags, not after them. G Man

The inside zipper may scratch your bike. Laces get caught on brake pedal and shift levers. A common boot would work as well for less money. You can get a real riding boot that should protect better and not have laces.
I have Sidi's but I wear my common leather work boots just as often. I tuck the laces into the top to keep them from getting in the way.
The above are just opinion you asked for. The boots in question should be fine if you like them.

I come back a day later and the link works...go figure. Tom- Opinions are what I need, thanks. I currently use a pair of cheapo Kmart ankle-high 'hiking boot' wannabes, but they are as uncomfortable as they are cheap. Meaning 'very'. Laces aren't an issue really, I just want something comfy, light, and a bit stronger, but not so bulletproof you can't flex your ankle or feet inside. I'm just tired of Chinese made footwear in general, and want something a few steps up in quality. I'm not quite ready for the high-dollar stuff yet, rather something in-the-middle-ish. G-man- It seems to have fixed itself, but I'll remember that tip, thanks.

Sneaky dawg you. Thanks though. I see northern Ontario on your description....would you be anywhere near Moosonee? We are called Northern Ontario as there is an arbitrary rough line somewhere around where Rainbow Country district and North that becomes "Northern Ontario" as apart from "Southern Ontario". However, Moosonee is the real deal Northern Ontario! As the crow flies it's just about straight up from me, but you can't really just drive it. If you flew, maybe 300-400 miles North? Are you familiar with Moosonee? G Man Attachments:

I went to Moosonee and Moose Factory with the parents back in the early 70's, and I still remember a lot of it. Just gorgeous. Had to drive to a certain point, and take a train the rest of the way. The water was COLD. I've wanted to make the trip as an adult someday (when I finally grow up). I thought maybe a car would be doable nowadays. Either way I hope to make it back up there before I kick the proverbial bucket. Maybe a ride for the 650??? ;D

Headcase, Do you have TSC stores around you. I got my last riding boots from them. They are leather, pull on like cowboy boots but have a thick rubber sole. Comfy, easy on and off. Leo

I usually don't have much luck finding boots and shoes that make my feets happy, but I took a chance on these and glad I did. www.jafrum.com/Motorcycle-Boots/Mens-Motorcycle-Boots/Mens-Detour-Motorcycle-Touring-Waterproof-Boots-90010#A bit stiff to start, but they're breaking in nicely and they fit good. I like the velcro, no laces or zippers to futz with. I ended up wearing them at work for a few hours before I remembered to put my normal shoes on. Waterproof too. The only negative so far is that I'll have to move my shift lever up a notch since these don't flex like the old raggedy cheapies I had. Not baaaadddd.....
