Hi Guy's, just got my '77 XS650. A bike I used to dream of 40 years ago. It's in terrific condition and runs well and had no issues until just yesterday. The horn, neutral light, turn signals and, I suspect, though I'm not sure, the brake light all stopped working simultaneously. I assumed it was a blown fuse only to discover there are no fuses as far as I can tell except the primary one. I'm sure this is a fairly simple problem and am awaiting my Clymers manual, but I'm sure there are some of you who will know what the issue is instantly. If that is the case, can you tell me what to check. Thanks for your help. doug nice forum you have here incidentally.

Hello dwcarkuff,
Congrats on your aquisition. I have almost stock Bountiful Blue 77 XS650-D. I've owned it since 81. I love it and will leave it to my son some day. Would never think of selling.
Have you by any chance had the headlight out of the bucket. This is where most the electrical connections are. It can be a tight squeeze in there and maybe some connections were disturbed. That certainly sounds odd this combination of devices went out at the same time.
Sorry I can't offer any real help, but I've never had any electrical problems with mine. I am replacing both handlebar switches (35 yrs you know) and puting in a Pamco electronic ignition this year just to get rid of the points and timing every year.
Let's have look see picture of your Baby.
Good luck and happy riding, Slimbob
