This is a link to a youtube clip of my ride on Saturday up to the divide Hwy. which is at about 6000 feet elevation The total trip was 87 miles, with the same $50 dollar Veho micro camera held in my helmet by Velcro This clip is of the road along the Tule river. you can hear a little tappet noise when I first start the bike. I'll have to fix that when I change the oil in a couple of days. If the video is buffering a lot you might have to kick the quality down to 360p in the lower right of your youtube screen next the timer.
On this trip in the first 15 miles I drove around one king snake and two medium sized rattlers, and on two different occasions a squirrel crossed the road between my from and back tire without getting hit, which is pretty amazing considering I was doing at least 30mph when they crossed under me. Rattle snakes always make me nervous because you never know if you’re close they might get a lucky strike. I avoid them, but sometimes when rounding a corner they come up awful fast and there is always a chance going over them in a curve might break your traction.
I just noticed this belongs in the video section.
