1981 Yamaha SX650SE basket case. Mostly complete including an extra motor. Perfect start to your special build or custom project. Or maybe you just need parts for your street ride. Can send pics of unit before disassembled and current pics of motors in warm dry place. Make me an offer.

Roadrash,
It would be helpful to know where on the planet said basket case is located.

Also, it has no title. A title can be obtained for it through proper channels but it takes some time. I recieved the bike as payment for monies owed. Always planned on making a cafe bike out of it. Took some steps towards getting a title for it but never followed through. There were always other projects coming first. Now I need some cash and its on the bottom of the priority list so Im wondering what is a good asking price and if there is any interest. If I dont sell it, eventually I will complete the project and ride it on the street. After keeping my old ironhead on the road and restoring an old Triumph TR6R, and rebuilding a Buell S2, and restoring a pair of KZ400's; its up next.

I bought an 82 with all the parts and title for about $800 in LA earlier this year. The bottom line is things are worth what you can get for them and that varies depending on your location, the time of year and how the economy is doing at the time. I have built and sold several bike at a profit but, I never figured to sell them when I built them. It just happened to work out that way.
