Back in the 70's my buddy I was in the Navy with had a Cool Bike 360 Terrific... I drove it from one end of the barracks to the other, out the front door and down the stairs... thought it was all cool till I was standing in front of the old man for getting drunk and pulling the fire alarm... he said now that this is all over... what's this I hear about you driving a motorcycle through the barracks... I said, well it was just a small motorcycle... sir... and he was tryinng so hard yo keep a straight face... Dunno bout your muffler attachment bro... I'd reckon a clamp on the pipe and a bracket on the muffler that attaches to the frame.

I know there is a bracket to the frame, but can't see the pipe to see how it connects there. The wife cleaned her stuff out of the Shop and burried my Bike!!!! I got a set of short chrome mufflers and wanted to get them on!!!

Well... it probably won't be that easy. Might be some carb jetting involved. Also, if your looking for a significant increase in performance, those stock headers got to go.
Bro... I'm not giving any marital advice... just unbury your bike and look at the installation.

The mufflers and headpipes are all one piece. You nee to cut the mufflers off at the front weld. The head pipe is a double wall pipe. After you get the mufflers cut off you need some adapters from the parts store. The mufflers need to seal to the inner pipe of the headpipe. Not the outer. I think either 5twins or Pamco pete have part numbers for the adapters and pics on how to do it. Leo

I unburried it today. Taking marital advice!!!! I found the welds. Not sure I want to cut it. I guess I will live with the stockers. I just wanted the bike a little louder!!!!!
