Hi,
We've got a 1978 XS650 Special project for sale. The bike was running, the engine has around 12,000 miles on it, when we started stripping the frame down. This was intended for the 'tough bobber' look, so the angle of the shock mounts was changed to lower it. We have a set of black Progressive shocks to fit it, new. They cost over $200. Seat, tank and electric are stripped off, ready for some real gear.
We've two sets of discs for the brakes, extra triple trees and forks. The front wheel is in excellent shape, the rear has a brand new old stock K70 tire on it. We took the plastic bushing out of the swingarm, ready for a new brass one to be installed. Took off the original steering head bearings, have a new set of Timken for you to install. Removed the original carb, its ready for a Boyer ignition, not included but its what you want.
Have a CD full of research, a Clymer manual, the title, etc.
The oil was changed and the engine fogged when we started working on it.
For more information please write, elsdyr999@yahoo.com.
$500 or best offer, and you'll need to come pick it up.
Thanks guys, Shannon
