I need to replace my exhaust on my factory stock 1970 XS1. The bike was a barn find, all original. I just got it running, but the exhaust is shot. I want to do the stainless route, anyone purchase a set from mikesxs or 650central? also what muffler choice should i go with? I want to keep the 2-2 setup and i want a deep "factory" like sound, nothing that creates the sport bike whine. Thanks!

I think mikesxs has a full factory replica system for your bike. It seems expensive but considering how limited the market, the exhaust is a bargin. I say tighten your belt, open your wallet and ride a true museum bike for the rest of your life. One of the few bikes I'd be jealous of.

I bought a set of thick wall replica XS1 head pipes from Mike’s and the fit was dead on. They are high quality. I think you get what you pay for with that kind of stuff. They are kind of expensive so for me it requires some saving to get the whole set up.

I bought a set of Mikes XS1 exhaust system and am really impressed with the fit and finish. It sounds just like the factory mufflers. At $549 it is a bargain. If you could buy new XS1 mufflers they would be well over $250 each and you would still have to buy the headers and hardware. If you have an original XS1 the bike is worth much more, so spend the $ and keep the stock appearance and sound. Attachments:

Hey Yamasarus I did the replica mufflers come with those compression fitting to join them to the head pipes? I have the head pipes and am saving for the mufflers.
