Hi guys,, can anyone help out with which pipes would have the most ground clearance:
MAC 2 into 1
Mikes 2 in 1 'Perf head pipes'
BUB 2 in 1
Or,,,?,,,

All of those will ground the second bend in right-handers if you ride at all aggressively, not much difference among them. So will an old set of Kerkers, if you can find them. Michael Morse developed a 2-1 with a collector design that eliminated the clearance issue and midrange hole that plague other systems, but says he can't get a small run produced at a price folks would want to pay.

I don't know, Leo; you could ask him. But bear in mind that most of gordonscott's work is done for guys who've dropped their machines to the point that pipe clearance won't be an issue anyway because other things will grind first, and that there's a lot of engineering involved in the placement and diameters of the components of a 2-1 system; it's not as simple as fabricating a pair of straight pipes.
