If any of you are in Denver, you may have seen me chin-down in the rain this evening. I waited under an overpass for 20 minutes or so until the rain slowed quite a bit and got back on the road. then it picked up bad and dropped several hailstones on my poor wet self. when the rain eventually quit i got cold in a hurry. finally in the home stretch, i got the shivers so bad i could hardly ride. luckily, this is only the second rainstorm in 4 years of riding, and i always have the helmet on......i think i'll put some rain-x on it. anybody else ever get caught in some terrible weather? oh....when i decided to pull over, i had to go from the fast lane to the right side berm, and the bad tire locked up...quite a show for the guy behind me!
p/s...not raining anymore.

I feel for ya' Brando! I've been in some good ones over the years also. Just two weeks ago... my wife, a couple of friends and I were returning home... rain, hail, lightning and thunder. Usually doesn't bother me... this time the hail mixed in put it over the top some. Couldn't see hardly at all... nowwhere to pull over. Crappy! About five years ago... going through Minnesota... we were on the outer edge of a tornado that was passing through. That was the most bizarre weather I have had to endure. Approx two feet of water rushing down the highway... we were almost at a 45 degree lean trying to get under cover. Took refuge in a McDonalds! That was about the only time in my life I was actually glad to see the golden arches! Anyway, that's enough for now. I could go on for hours about crappy weather... all part of the experience! Lets you know you are alive!

When you finally decide there is no way around it and you're going to get wet, its not really that bad. Everything ends eventually...although rain does hurt, I learned that I can ride with my chin on the tank, elbows on knees, and make it home ok!
