Ok so I finally figured out how to put pics on here. Anyways here it is, my new beginning. nineteen hundred and seventy nine xs650. I have a ridid frame, just fresh spoked wheels, pretty soon a fresh motor that I am rebuilding as we speak. I am going with mid controls, custom stainless drag bars, fake oil bucket to hold my electronics, and some other things I havent worked out yet. I will keep adding photos as it grows but for now this is it. also I keep seeing all these garage bikes without signal lights. Is there a way of getting around that or is everyone just chancing it? well cheers and happy riding. PEACE sixx50bOy ;D Attachments:

Looks good bro ... gotta smile cause back in the day a buddy of mine built his Beezer hardtail in the bedroom of his apartment. My bike has wiring for front and rear blinkers in a custom harness. The rear blinkers are a no-brainer as to how I will mount them... still thinking on the front.

I'm gonna mount my fronts on the lower trees of the forks i think. I still havent decided what kind of signals to use either.

Is that a stock front end.. trees and legs? Who's brace is that? I'm working my electrical box now and have to decide iif I'm gonna run LEDs or conventional bulbs... money is always a factor too ...

It's actually a Honda front end same with the old wheels but I went with spoked. the brace is for these forks too. i think it looks good on there. as for electrical box what are you gonna do? I pondered it for a long time and decided that I am gonna go with the cylinder oil bucket under the seat but use it for an electrical box. Is there a big difference of wiring when you compare LED to conventional?

From what I see in your pic, I like your front end alot.
I'll be posting some pics... gotta figure how I'm gonna lay them out, but first get them off my daughter's camera.
The difference in components for the conventional and LED blinker / running light sytems is, from what I understand, the bulbs and the flasher. You can't, again from what I understand, use the stock flasher. Loosing the stock flasher won't kill me it's overpriced anyway, BUT I need the new flasher to see how I'm going to mount it in my battery box... locate stud mount or? Need to do a little research, including asking the fellas here what components for a lighting system are recommended. Just working my notor right now and frame.

Leo, Thanks for the post bro ... will check it out.
sixfiftyboy... Are you willing to part with any of your engine pieces? Depending on the year, I need a timing chain adjustment cover. Want to trade for something maybe?
Yo, Rod

Wouldnt it cost an arm and a leg to send stuff from up here to down there and visa versa? I have never done it. but once my motor is done and together I will see what i do and dont need. as for the timing chain adjustment cover I do have another one i think I will have to check. what do you have that you would part with?
