I need to strip a '77 tank and sidecovers of original paint and graphics. Will a paint remover take off both? Or would I use one product (or a heat gun) to remove the graphics and another to remove the paint? The metal is good - no rust .... Thanks

You can have it dipped... cleaned inside and out.

I had to clean up a battery box and used a carb cleaner dip. ZERO effort! I used a disposable turkey pan and rotated the part several times.

you could also try sandblasting it lightly with one of those small sandblasters or the ones you put your hands inside the rubber glove holes. If your scared of blowing through the tank just turn the pressure down.
