Hey guys-----curious what you got to say about this. Almost hate to say it, but the '74 is running perfect ( don't want to jinks it ) I noticed that one of the stock exaust puts out a perfect rythem sound, and the other one has kind of a harley type lope to it. Both are running good compression, no smoke, and singing to red line. Do you think it's a air leak or what? kerry

To check for air leaks, hit throttle shaft ends and carb mounts with short bursts of carb cleaner and wait a couple of seconds; if you've hit a leak, idle speed will change sharply. If you find nothing there, through the basics--resistance in plug wires and caps, cam chain tension and valve lash, point gap and timing, air filter condition, fuel screw adjustment, and carb synch, in that order.

Not at all. For instructions go to www.biker.net and access the factory service manual and owner handbooks.
