One of the ways that the male of the human race dominates the world is through technology. Women used to admire men who were techno savvy and could fix things, but times have changed. Women now want to lessen the grip that men have on the world and one of the ways they do that is to shun techno savvy men. The fewer techno savvy men there are, the less control men will have on the world. So, we see terms like "nerd" "gearhead", "geek" etc. being applied to techno savvy men. These men do not have a social life. Meaning, they do not get layed, so the younger, smarter men learn to be techno stupid in order to get layed.

I know exactly what you mean when you say that. I have still been the social one and the one who gets laid its just thats where it stops with most of my friends. I do have friends that are mechanically inclined and like to work on cars but I just dont really know anyone with soul to put into a bike build. Everyone wants the new harley that comes out. Once my sled is done and they see me riding it around I will bet they want one too. We will see. Thanks for the support guys I know there are tons of dudes out there like me I just have to find them. There is a garage built bike show in Toad Rock BC this year and I plan to have my ride done and there when it comes time. I will probally meet some cool guys there.

Pete - Maybe in some subconscious way we gearhead men realize that an intensely vibrating bike attracts women for some strange reason. Enter the beloved buzzbomb Yamaha 650. If you build it, they will....uhhh...show up. There are still women out there who love the old-fashioned, fuzzy chinned, cheesy-80's-stache-wearing (ahem) technoids. I'm lucky enough to have a purrty one mysteriously attracted to me. She seems to think there is genious involved, and although I know different, I don't think I'll talk her out of it anytime soon.
