So just finishing up this bobber build. Its not 100% yet, the exhaust is just loose for now and the charging system is waiting on a couple of parts but its 99% Is a 1980. All the work was done by me, fabrication, welding, painting etc.... These are only a handful of the build pics. I will post them on a website when the bike is 100% finished. The next xs bobber has already begun.... Frame the way i got it... crusty old engine ripping it appart cleaning cyl head finally clean cut that crap frame off new TC Bros hardtail with the hardtail tacked on (final welding will be done once all the parts are fit) fitting rear fender and tank fit oil can and batt box welding frame and front seat mount in place looks like a bike! final engine made some foot peg mounts.. me welding up the seat shock mount primer time primer this is the base coat Just finished clear coats NICE! starting to re-assemble new oil cooler/filter assembly THE REST OF THE PICS SPEEK FOR THEMSELVES...

Really nice job all the way around ... fabrication and finish. The paint is very nice, did you freehand or use tape? I like the design on both tank and fender. I noticed you didn't use the battery box in the first pics, any particular reason?

I noticed you didn't use the battery box in the first pics, any particular reason? Thanks for the feedback. I taped out the paint design and sprayed the 2 colors separately.. The battery box was in for a while but i decided to go with a bigger battery in the end, so I ended up just making a new battery holder to fit the new battery.

What are the specs on the hardtail? is it stretched? Also what tank is that? Any rake on the front end?

I really like your bike it looks great. I know how much time is invested, not to mention $. I'm wondering about two things. 1. The seat shock has alot of angle to it. What weight is it? (and you) 2. The chain tentioner on top. Is that to keep from slappin the fender. Only asking because I've seen this a couple times now as opposed to being on the slack side of the chain. I suspect its just an idler. Cool Bike! Rock the Hell out of it!

Nice Bike! the way a xs hardtail chop should be good lines. What kind of springer is that? it"s nice how that springer sets the front rim up, no rake needed ,well done and refreshing to see some white.

I think it's funny that the thing I like the most out of this whole build is the bicycle pedal on the kickstart! What a great idea!

Beauty!
Your masterpiece deserves to be emblazoned across magazine covers and calendars, certainly worthy. Still, I'd rather see it flying down the road.
Very sweet scooter, congrats.
