I made teh bonehead mistake of not taking the nut off before trying with the puller. Not i have stripped the rotor and I am not sure how to get this thing off. Any alternatives out there? I see talk of a 3 jaw puller. Where can i get one?

You asked for alternatives, so here ya go. I see from your Engine board post that you're pulling the crank to replace the main bearings. That's fine. Leave the rotor in place on the crankshaft and let whoever is going to press your crank apart and rebuild it remove the rotor for you. Before you go any farther, you'd be well advised to download the factory service manual kindly provided by Jean Akers at www.biker.net .
